She is now called Dr. Kathy Mattea after receiving her doctorate in the arts. She graduated from West Virginia University and is now a humanitarian and speaking out about global warming and such.

Yes, Tall singer with Auburn hair and a great deep voice for a woman. I remember 18 wheels and a bed of roses, and a few more hits.
She and Suzy Boggus got lost in the shuffle in the mid 90's. I love Mary Chapin Carpenter and Patty Loveless as well.
