These are all good answers. The one thing I would add is that you should keep up with the material. I found that by spending a few hours a week keeping up with the material allowed me to go into the tests feeling comfortable about the material -- without having to cram before the test. All I needed was a short review of the material.

My observation has been that the single greatest indicator of success in college is whether the student goes to class. The more class you go to - the better you do.
All other things are important but this one seems to be the deciding factor - people who don't go to class are prone to fail at a very high rate.

Go to every class, pay attention and do the homework that gets a grade.
Just doing that will allow most people in non-specialized degree fields to graduate with a 3.0.
Skipping class and getting behind are the things that kill you.

i visit assist you to realize a narrative which will open your eyes. before everything, I skipped 2 grades in Catholic college, which, is, very very nearly, remarkable. I skipped 6th and 9th. while i replaced into in college, i replaced into confronted with a chain of stumbling blocks which you would be unable to start to think of...I lost no longer basically the two considered one of my mom and father, yet additionally a costly buddy, 89 years previous, who I took care of, and her 21 room, mid-Victorian abode. Plus, I additionally lost a activity, somewhat 2 jobs alongside the way. no longer rapidly, I persisted, and graduated from college with severe Honors. My GPA replaced into an staggering 3.725. i replaced into inducted into the historical past Honor Society, the Psychology Honor Society, the national Honor Society for ordinary tutorial Excellence, the Graduate guidance Honor Society, and, the main interesting, and maximum unpredicted, induction into 'who's Who between pupils in American Universities & faculties.' I come from a era the place college teenagers have been conventional for partying (i think they nevertheless are), and the flicks and tv shows had youthful college co-eds residing it up on the coastline with their significant others and surfboards. I, on the different hand, had plenty on my plate. a 20-some thing, going to college, finished time interior the night, working finished time during the day, and looking out after my elderly buddy, whilst, on the comparable time, attempting to regulate the lack of my mom and father. in case you opt for for any sympathy from me, i'm sorry, yet you're unlikely to get it. I went although hell during that factor, emotionally, financially, you call it, yet, no longer rapidly, it additionally replaced into the happiest time of my life.
