I sure remember Keith Whitley and think it is such a shame that he died so young from something that only he could control(alcoholism) There is no telling how much more he could have and would have given us the country music fans. Some of my favorite Keith Whitley songs are "Don't Close Your Eyes" "I'm No Stranger To The Rain" "Amy, My Miami" and others along with his duet with Lorrie Morgan "Till A Tear Becomes A Rose" Another sad story in country music history is the loss of Keith Whitley.

Yes, He had numerous hits, Dont Close You Eyes, Im No Stranger TO THe Rain, Tell Lorrie I Love Her and many many more. He was married to Lorrie Morgan but he was a very depressed person. He actually overdosed at a very young age. He was a horrible acoholic but a wonderful musician.

If Keith had lived, he would be a legend today. He was on his way to a long career in country music when he lost his battle with alcoholism on May 9, 1989. He will always live in my life, as I named my son after him.

yep, he had that great song "Dont Close Your Eyes" and was married to Lorrie Morgan and he died of alcohol poisoning, like he drank himself to death. Must have been some kind of husband huh?

Yes, I do somewhat. I know he was married to Lorrie Morgan, and died young. I wasn't familiar with his recordings.

"I,m no stranger to the rain" went to number 1 right after his death (How Ironic) Kinda like Hank Sr's "I'll never leave this world alive"
