There isn't a program it may be too late once it starts. If you could get a roommate now and have a garage sale you might raise a few hundred but you may have let it go so long that isn't enough.
Talk to the mortgage holder and maybe they will allow you to try to catch up.

Talk to the mortgage company and ask for a work out program. This usueally requires you to put something down. Find something you can see to get some extra cash. Motgage companies are hurting right now and dont want to take your home. You may be surprized how workable they will be.
good luck

There are no specific government programs to assist in continuing home ownership, if that is what you are asking. Any 'program' will be yours to develop by earning extra income, taking in a paying roommate, and working with your lender in an effort to convince them to allow you some sort of grace period due to your circumstances.

Many lenders will agree to such extensions, as long as you can show evidence that you are credit worthy, and that this deficiency will be short term.

Have you talked to your mortgage company and explained the situation to them? Many companies will try to work with you if you just communicate honestly with them. If your mortgage company has a local branch, go in there with documentation of the illness and your renewed ability to pay.

You do have to ask yourself if you can afford this house.

Talk to your lender. In most cases if you are a descent credit risk they will negotiate terms with you to catch up. They don't want to loose money. I don't know what your credit history is but that will have an impact on your negotiations.
If you are honest and sincere they will negotiate with you.

Call your mortgage company ASAP. Most companys are trying to keep people in their homes because it costs more to kick them out. Be proactive!
