I am optimistic, but I also am a "realist"! I do try and find positive in as many situations as possible, but I also tend to be realistic.
There's a difference between being realistic and pessimistic.
Like, being realistic is a person in a wheelchair knowing they are not fortunate to slam dunk. Being pessimistic is what would it be like if Christopher Reeve came to believe he cannot find a way to touch lives despite being paraplegic.
I had to clarify as I have been accused of being negative when I'm just being real.
It's excellent to be optimistic, but there is a such thing as being overly confident about some things.

Hmmmm, does this have something to do with the glass half empty half full thingy? Well, if so...it all depends on whats in the glass. Thats how I look at it.
