I took phen-fen at a young age, then 5 years ago had a echo at a law firm, they said I had damage and I got some money. Well I just had a second echo at a real hospital and they said there is nothing wrong with my heart. Can I sue the law firm for lying to me and the drug comp that I had heart problems when I didn't?

Take the money and just keep quite. This Fen-Phen thing was just a scam set up by slick lawyers. You were used as a tool to extort money from the drug corporations.

Enjoy your good health.

First, I'd get a third test to be sure.

Then, if you are well, I'd file a complaint against the doctor that the lawyers used...the might be something fishy going on there.

The lawyers will just say they were relying on him or her, so you might as well start there. Hire a new attorney to contact that doctor with the new results - that attorney will know how to handle suggesting the doctor explain the prior results.

BTW, you better ask your current doctor if the previous diagnosis is something that could have been right and cleared up since then, before you start asking for trouble :)

The supplements were banned for good reason. Just as an example, a baseball player on the Baltimore Orioles died, on the field IIRC, after taking a recommended dose for weight loss. I am sure there were plenty of other cases.

coming clean would be the ethical thing to do. But you were lied to. And if you try to sue the lawyers-you'd be going against lawyers....I mean...thats just a bad situation. They may even play you as sue happy. And you wont get anything out of it. I'd agree with the first answer and keep quiet. No reason to continue on in this battle. so yea, be happy that you're healthy.

Report them to the state bar association, and understand that you weren't entitled to the money, so the drug company may want it back.
