Does this woman sound like the "distribution of assets" were fair? or is she just a little bitter.....?
"1999 Divorce Court he got to keep his 19year old tramp and her 3 kids and I won the house and all contents on 10 acres of land, a pick up truck , a car, 1/2 of what was in the bank,$500 a month alimony for 5 years, and my part of a pension that he pays in to out of his payroll ( ha ha ), "O" and I got all the buttons off of every piece of clothing he owned.
As far as I know I'm still wining because the more he makes at work ( and he makes a lot) the more that goes in to that pension for my retirement."

and why is Divorce a "win / lose" situation? Yeah, I've been divorced... but it seems to me that when a couple decides to split... it's supposed to be "win / win" by mutual agreement... eh?

As a two-time divorce victim I can say that there is no 'win' for a man; only degrees of losing.

The court system almost always favours the woman, which again, shows the inequality, as by granting all of the those things to the ex-wife, it affirms that she is the "weaker sex" and requires additional help (aside from what pertains to the children).
This is another reason why people should not be entirely blinded by dreams of growing old together, and sign those prenuptial agreements, it may seem like mistrust, but realistically, it's precautionary and a smart thing to do, as no one knows if they will end up divorced years after, and each should part with what they brought into the marriage or what each contributed to it during... whether or not infidelity took place, which is another matter.

Men really have to be careful in marriages these days, because all of the laws are made to protect women. Sorry, but things happen in marriages that can cause the people (women or men) to want to leave, but that does not mean you should punish their entire life for it. Don’t get me wrong; woman should be protected so that her and the kids do not financially suffer due to divorce, but not to the extent of putting the man in the poor house. To punish him and reward her is ludicrous especially when you are dealing with a woman that just wants to hurt the man. Her settlement should also be based upon her income as well as his.

It sounds like he either cheated on her with the " 19year old tramp" and/or he left her for this other woman so my guess is she is still hurting from that and would really like to see him hurt. That type of betrayal is not easily overcome esp if they were together for a long time.

It should be win win by mutual agreement and respect both, yet, as we know, it doesn't always work that way. Divorce wounds a lot of people; wounds their pride and it wounds them emotionally. So many never get over it.

Theoretically, it is supposed to be a win/win situation. It usually isn't though. People play nasty in these situations and sometimes they get a great lawyer and sometimes they don't -lots of things can effect the outcome.

Divorce is only as complicated as the couple makes it. I've never had a difficult divorce.
