Check in the yellow pages for a free clinic in your town, or you can check for a family planning clinic and go there. She really does need to take you. Your periods should last for a few days, not a month. Go by yourself though if she refuses, You need to find out what is causing this, this can cause anemia, (low blood count).
Come on people, she said two months, can you imagine telling your gym teacher that you cannot shower today, because you are having your period, I mean telling the teacher this for two months.

It is not normal to bleed for three months without stopping even if your periods are irregular.
Go see a doctor yourself as previous posters have suggested. You need treatment. The bleeding could be from anything from hormonal imbalance to something more serious like fibroids or cancer. Best to get it fixed now, than wait and have it get more serious later.
Oh, and it's abuse for parents not to get their kids medical care. Report her to social services.

You do not need to see a GYN. Your regular doc can handle this. Since your mom won't take you to see your doc call and make an appointment yourself and just go in and get checked. Have someone drive you if you need a ride or call a cab.

This is normal. Everyone has a period of time (no pun intended) when they will not have their 'monthly' on time or at all. If, of course, you do not have your period for 9 monthes and your stomach is expanding greatly, you are pregnant. But that's not likely, so there is nothing to worry about. Good luck!

Talk to your school nurse and tell her your issue. Then tell her that your mom won't take you to a gynecologist and ask what you can do.

If your mom won't take you (wow - that's awful!), you can go to Planned Parenthood for female issues without her.

it is perfectly normal for a teenager to have irregular periods, you don't need to see a gynecologist for that. However, if you have never had a pap smear, then you do need to see one once you start your cycles.
