Every morning I wake up completely dehydrated - my lips hurt, my throat burns, and my nose is completely swollen shut. I've got a humidifier and I drink nearly a half gallon of water before sleeping, but nothing helps? Do you have any advice?

try adding a sports drink along with the water, dehydration occurs from lack of water and electrolytes,
this morning dehydration may be related to allergies, if you sleep with a fan on it might trigger your allergies and dry mocus membranes
good luck

In my adventure, It does not have plenty to do with that. It comes from the lower back of the throat---the uvula section. It closes and motives the beautiful rattle all of us understand and hate. LOL you do no longer choose for to maintain your mouth close. What if during the night your sinuses clogged and you need to no longer breathe? could you awaken and get your mouth open till now you suffocated?

I'd get rid of the humidifier and get a vaporizor. Humidifiers put moisture into the air all right, but they also colonize allergens, vaporizers don't.
