Which has better medicinal and anti-viral/anti-fungal properties?
Can I get the same benefits of taking Olive Leaf and Oil of Oregano by just using olive oil and fresh oregano. If so, how much should I use?

Olive Leaf extract: Good antibody. Great for anti viral.

Oregano (name means joy of the mountain): One of the known things to kill the bird flu for one. Oregano is also a great anti fungal.

So they both can help greatly.

If you have just a viral infection I would think between the two that Olive Leaf would help better but for a yeast or funal problem I would recommend the Oregano.

Hope this helps.

The Olive Leaf Extract has been used for a centuries for anti-viral and anti-fungal properties. I believe that different people will find that different products will work differently. I would make sure that you use a high quality products. I have used an Organic Oregano Oil that I have found o very beneficial for foot fungus. The Product that I prefer is the Organic Oregano Oil. The properties of the oregano oil are very similar to the olive leaf extract. I would also add a probiotic to your regimen as well. The product that I have used is a spore bearing bacteria. I found that different people have differences preferences as far as probiotics.

Oil of oregano is stronger and no, you can't get it through using the herb as the tincture or oil is very strong. Olive leaf extract has other benefits as well--I use them alternately. It will work on fungal infections but not like pharma meds--have to give it time. If using internally you have to reduce sugars and starches or you are defeating the action of the herb.

Olive Leaf Extract is a very good antioxidant... but it doesn't directly affect virus or fungus. You may be thinking of Olive Oil (which is from the fruit).

I've heard of Oregano Oil being used for antibacterial /anti-fungal purposes more often, so that may be what you're looking for.

In general, I always recommend using only what the bottle recommends unless a doctor says otherwise. If you want to try more than the recommended dose, that's up to you... but I would at least start at the recommendation to see how your body responds to it. Good luck!

I haven't found either to be useful as anti-fungal.
Good ol' vitamin C, and zinc are antiviral.
To help fight internal fungal and yeast infections, eat yougurt.
