Adults have responsibilities, just like kids do; you have homework, we have bills to pay. You go to school, we go to work. And you play games for fun, and some adults play games for fun. Not every minute of our day is filled with an "important" activity.

Some people, like my boyfriend, think watching football is fun. While I like football well enough, I hate that it takes 3 hours to play a 60 minute game. So while he watches football, I play World of Warcraft. Different forms of entertainment appeal to different people. Some people like playing sports, others like shopping or going to movies or reading - and some like video games. We actually host a couples' game night (more often in the winter, so we're getting ready!) and we play board games or DVD games like Scene It. I think we're going to have a DDR and Guitar Hero competition at some point as well. Games appeal to people of all ages, whether card games, gambling (bingo is very popular among the senior citizens in my town), board games, or online video games.

Aren't adults allowed to have fun too?
They used to be your age, they used to do the things you like to do, so why should they have to stop having fun now just because they're older?
I had someone in WoW tell me I was too old to play and I'm only 20. The majority of the people I play MMO's with are 18-30.
My WoW guild has 95 members age 18+ and my FFXI linkshell has 50 members age 20+
They play because they enjoy it. When you're an adult and you have to work eight hours a day, pay bills, and everything else, you deserve to have some time to for whatever relaxes you and makes you feel happy.

Video Games are a form of entertainment, if they dont seem at least interesting to an adult why would they buy them for kids Alot of games want younger adults in there games as they have and spend money on there games where a teen would not. game companies make games to make money if they can make the game target adults in there 20's they will Thats what game companies are targeting or even calling their core gamers, players who play just in their spare time or on the week end Ideally from a profit stand point its the players a game wants

Well I'm 26 I have 4 month old twins, I work and attend school. Because of how busy I am sometimes it'll be a month of Sundays befor I can get over to a friends and enjoy quality gaming. Since most of my friends are online I actually get to play with them more from home. So for me its online or alone.

What's wrong with jumping on Counter strike for 30minutes after work?

Relax, drink some tea, smoke a cig, get a few headshots. It's all good.

Fact is, everyone has some sort of escapism in their life, be it a social group, an adamant hobby, gaming, crafting, reading, drinking. And that's all games are for, a way to relax and escape from our daily routines.

I am a stay at home mom and I play WoW. I'm only 21 and I'm married and my husband is in the army so I don't have a lot to do during the day and it occupies my time. I know a lot of other people who do it for the same reason. To occupy time. It has nothing to do with being immature.

None taken and for the same reasons that the younger generation plays for.
We are older and we have more responsibilities, but we aren't dead.
In fact, it stimulates our brain and keeps us busy and it's Fun. Heck, it probably helps us stay younger, too!
I taught each of my grandson how to play video games when they were old enough and still play even now that they are older. (9, 14, & 16 yrd old) They introduced me to online gaming.

They want to have some fun. most of the time they are working sooooo hard and always busy. But online gaming gives them the chance to relax and chill out for a while but also have fun with some other online adults.

Because some of them were the original gamers, all the way back to Atari and they've just kept up with the times and that includes online gaming. Personally I think it's pretty sweet.
