buddy, I'd say the AFC's gonna be strong(er) for years to come and I'm an NFC guy. Oh well, we'll just have to wait and see; only time will tell.

NO, because the balance is directly effected by the flag ship's of each confrence, ie the Pats and colts are both far better than Dallas and GB
the 3 & 4 teams are: Det 6-2 NYG 6-2 vs Tenn 6-2 Pitt 6-2, looks like those are even to me.
5 &6 wash 5-3 tb 5-4 vs jack 5-3 cle 5-3 again, even, or at least the advantage to the afc for having the chance to get 1 more win the nfc.
So no I'd say the AFC is still better.

I think it has. The Cowboys actually played pretty well against the Pats, and they were actually winning for a bit in the 3rd quarter, so I don't think the Pats are a lot better than the Cowboys (though they are better). I also don't think the Cowboys are the best team in the NFC though, so....
Honestly, I think the Pats could struggle mightly in the Super Bowl against either Green Bay or the New York Giants, if either of those teams make it to the Super Bowl, the AFC needs to watch out.

Yeah, it's definitely starting to even out, though I do agree with you that three of the top 10 teams are in the AFC (Patriots, Colts, Steelers). Of course the Patriots are gonna win the division, considering they have one of the weakest divisions in the league. But I definitely wouldn't look past some of the teams in the NFC, especially the top teams that have already lost to the Pats and learned. Dallas being one to recon with. It looks like it's gonna be one hell of a second half of the season.

After the Patriots and Colts which have seperated themselves by a lot, the league is actually full of a bunch of average teams. Overall the league is not that strong, When we are talking about Green Bay being in the upper ranks of the league that is not saying much. When a team with the talent of San Diego seems to struggle almost every week, that doesnt speak to well. the competition in the league is great becasue there is a large selection of mediocrity.

AFC rules. They hit harder, have the best two teams in league. Have the number one and two defensive teams in the league. And not to mention I can't remember the last team in the NFC that won the Super Bowl.

The AFC is definitely dominant. Both divisions have their struggling teams, but the AFC has more dominant teams all around.
