I work in a small art office that contains three male coworkers, including the boss. I don't know if I should give them a gift card, candy or liquior, but i want to give them something that is within a certain proce range. I'm not that close with them, but I would like to give them a " hey Happy Holiday...Merry Christmas gift."

Perhaps a fruit basket for the office in general? Or if you prefer individual gifts, there are a lot of nice new LED flashlights that are pretty handy to have. Or a travel clock, or a multi-tool. These are good, useful and handy gifts without being too personal.

Personally, I always like when someone bakes something for me. I seems a nice traditional way to say Merry Christmas, best wishes etc.

I don't like giving gift cards to people because then they know exactly how much you spent on them & it gets awkward if they gave you a gift card for a different amount.

Liquor or wine is usually a safe bet, just make sure that it doesn't go against their personal beliefs (ie. they're not in a 12 step program). You can get a good bottle of wine for about $12-$20 (I like Charles Krug and Kendall Jackson). Liquor could run you a bit more, and it is up in the air as to what they would like. If you've gone out for drinks with them and they order a particular thing, then it is smooth sailing to know what they like, otherwise it can get tricky.

I think that you would all be much happier if you all just had a little lunch together.
As a whole, most men are uncomfortable with the giving and recieving gifts from people who are not close friends and family. For men it implies a relationship that does not exist on that level.

I agree that a gift card is probably the most practical gift for a guy for christmas unless you know specific things they like. I would suggest a Best Buy gift card, guys are always buying cds, dvds or electronics.

Gift card to Buffalo Wild Wings or to Sears. Anything else they may appreciate may be too lascivious for the office.

Give them each a card containing a donation of a blanket in their name to a family shelter.

what about a $5 gift card to Starbucks and a coffee mug from the dollar store, if they're coffee drinkers. otherwise a little basket of foreign beer maybe.

A nice box of sweets for the two lads and get your boss a bottle of spirits.

Bake them some goodies. They will love it. Give them each a plate of cookies and maybe a loaf of homemade pumpkin or banana bread.

(((Hugs)))
