Jasmine is evergreen here in zone 8. Unless it looks ratty, leave it alone.

All parts of the plant are poisonous, won't kill you, just make you very sick. Could be fatal to small children.

Some can grow to ten to fifteen feet tall.

We have two in large containers and we prune them half way down and bring them into the house. We put them in a south facing window during the winter.
