are there any songs that take the music from another song, and use it as their own?

Lily Allen uses alot of other peoples music,
but she distorts it and kinda makes it her own.
She says who the music is by in the little book thingy in the cd, lol.

Music taken from one song and used for another is an infringement of copyright. George Harrison was successfully sued for basing his song "My Sweet Lord" on the song "He's So Fine" (instrumentally, not lyrically). Others songs that I feel probably were direct steals are "Elvira" (from "Searchin'") and "You Raise Me Up" (from "Danny Boy"). There have been charges recently that the artist Timbaland plagiarized a recording created by Janne Suni entitled Acidjazzed Evening.

I'm not good with titles, but two identical tunes with different applications are "Eyes Of Texas" (Are upon you), and "I've been Workin' on the Railroad." Wonder what the legal ramifications were?
