What was the first thing that was going through their mind when they were watching the stars?? I am talking about the people who lived more than 7000/8000 years ago. Thank you for your answers..

I think they would have just been awed by it. I'm sure a lot people today are too, but I think they had more time to appreciate it, and make up stories and myths about what they were then we do.

As we don't have night eyes, early man's sense of danger must have been heightened a hundred fold at nightfall and the moon and stars instinctively understood to be linked to survival. I imagine adrenalin was pumping through early man's veins more often and pleasure hormones released more frequently at night, and that at peaceful moments, looking into the night sky was a source of immeasurable beauty and wonderment, as well as pondered on intently for its boundaries, patterns, and movements.

Im sure they saw something and realized they couldnt begin to understand what they were seeing. i think they knew there was more to everything around them, yet they didnt know what it was. hence the birth of religon, and mans attempts to rationalize what everything is around him... ie sun god, etc.
