I think it's a crazy waste of money, and I'm disgusted that all charity money from the lottery goes towards it too.

Agreed. Total waste. Another example of our money going to the south east / capital. Anyone remember the millennium dome? How about Wembley? How much will the Olympic Stadium REALLY cost us?

It depends on what the reasons are and how it benefits us all in UK. To date the powers that be have shown little idea of what is needed except the glorification of politicians and of course the funds raised by the national lottery are again to be raided/misappropriated to fund the Olympics
