I just was this story on the Yahoo front page. When "warms" to the Nazis, does that not make them Nazi agents?

Sarkozy to address joint session of US Congress -- Warming relations
By Philippe Alfroy

WASHINGTON (AFP) - French President Nicolas Sarkozy was to address a joint session of the US Congress on Wednesday, in the latest sign of warming Franco-US relations after years of bitter namecalling over the Iraq war.

Chocolah,

The American people hate Bush and the Nazis. The Bush government doesn't have any real public support. Additionally, I think we have plenty of proof with the 1 million dead Iraqis that Bush isn't any more adverse to mass killing than were the Nazis.

Bush and the boys are following the Nazi agenda to be sure. In fact, Bush's grandfather Prescott was a Nazi financier and many other members of the business elite in America LOVED the Nazis. Sarkozy is clearly a right-wing politician who represents the interest of the business elite in France so I think the answer to your question is yes, the Vichy has risen again.

Well, after the occupation, France was split in half. One half was occupied and governed by the Nazis. It was an occupied state, like Austria, Denmark, and the others. However, the other half was given back to the French government. This was to still be France, but an Axis France. It would supply troops, supplies, and other military support. It was the fourth member of the Axis, basically. Of course, the government was largely controlled by the Nazis and the French military wasn't as strong as Germany's. It was almost like Italy. A smaller, weaker state that aided Germany in it's conquests. I think you're talking about the French Resistance, though. Many people in France didn't support the Nazis. They would carry out missions of sabotage, spying, and sometimes assassination attempts. They fed the information that they gathered to the British and Americans. They also aided in the Normandy invasions, meeting up with the soldiers and giving them what ever they needed, food, shelter, etc. There was also a group in the British army called the French Resistance or something like that. They were French soldiers and civilians who had escaped across the channel and enlisted in the Military. But that's probably not what your teacher was talking about. So basically, yeah the French Resistance created civil strife and over all made life as hard as possible for the Germans. I hope this has helped.

Yes! Fascism was an attempt to roll back the gains of the working class and inflict the agenda of the industrialists upon the general public. Sarkozy and Bush are clearly members of that group.

You're calling the citizens and the government of the United Staets Nazis.

By doing so, you are showing your ignorance and insulting the memories of 6 million victims of the Holocaust.

Shame.
