because they are pretty irrational at times, but the US media always thinks everyone but us is a threat

Because China really IS a threat. It is stealing trade, economic and military secrets form the US and every other source. It is massively building up it's military and it supplies weapons to every and any madman regime in the world- from Iran through Burma to the Taliban
It is a extreme totalitarian regime with absolutely no civil rights. it does have a few economic reforms, which were simply introduced to make their military more competitive. China's political system is fascism - in fact if not in theory. If you doubt that just look up "Tibet" and "Tien an Men"

As an aside, China's masters make Adolf's murder toll look puny by comparison

Of course the "west" invests there. Simply because the slave labour in China is cheap. And money talks...

Um...maybe cause it is lol.
Not saying that in a bad way, but any power that challenges or has a chance of challenging superpower status of the US is a threat mate.
So China is obviously a threat, as in Russia, and are depicted as such.

They're communists with a violent past and are increasing their military spending to a level with only one explanation: To challenge the US.
