Yes, I do. At work we have loads of squirells with pretty fluffy tails and I think about making a hat out of them all the time!
Even though I know their "Racoon" their tails look like a good subsitute!

I had one of those, and loved wearing it (of course, I was only 9), but I doubt it was a genuine raccoon skin cap; probably a synthetic polyester acrylic rayon mix of some sort.

i had one when i was in the 4th grade back in 1964 or so. i was so proud of it, especially when i got to wear it as some frontier guy in a school play. (being a little girl i thought it was such a big deal!)
