I've written posts on the 'Forum' . We've all screamed at Yahoo .
But now it's time to stop talking to a Leftist Brick Wall and instead contact the media .
I just posted a request for FoxNews to consider running a story on this. And I believe that other media sources would be interested in EXPOSING YAHOO .
Here's a link for you to write to Fox . You will see a box on the left-hand side of the page for 'Ureport' . Send them a message no matter how long or how short it may be . NUMBERS MATTER . One man alone cannot accomplish this .
http://www.foxnews.com/oreilly/ureport/index.html

I'd also be interested in seeing other links to other media sources .
WE MUST TAKE A STAND . WE WILL BE HEARD . BUT WE MUST SPEAK TO BE HEARD .

UPDATE - Sure , Yahoo does suspend liberals too . But not in the great numbers that they do on Conservatives . To ignore that fact is to ignore the truth .
They got Suthrnlyts for 'Solicitation' . A bogus complaint that seems to be the newest lie for Yahoo . I got nailed for 'solicitation' too . NEVER HAPPENED . I also got nailed for 'posting links of a graphic nature' . And the stupidest thing about that is - I didn't even know how to post a link at that time !

Earnest,I agree about suthrn, but the fact is we are nothing more than numbers to yahoo. It is why they do nothing in regards to trolls, clones and stalkers. You really think o'reilly will care? The problem is once again you and others are making it a partisan issue. People on both sides will miss suthrn if she is not reinstated. Numbers do matter, but the numbers are greater when we are not divided. I will probably add more to this.

added. The old message boards were shut down partly by trolls, yahoo was sued because some trolls verbally attacked a lawyer. I still miss the boards,it was better than here. The purpose of YA is to ask and answer questions(you can interject opinion),most can't grasp that concept. Both sides are faced with the same problems, but to continue to be divided will not change this site or this country. I once tried to get people to make a stand against clones on yahoo,I got very little support. As for solicitation,it could apply to many here, especially if the voice opinions strongly. Like any other yahoo excuse,It has broad interpretation and only yahoos interpretation matters on their site. I had to abandon my other account, because i was targeted by conservatives(one in particular). Yet they are still running around here freely posting with their same ID. The only way to change yahoos policy is to boycott, but how many would agree to that. Not enough to matter. It is strange that some here are only concerned with protecting their side and are totally unconcerned with those on the other side that were targetted and wrongfully suspended.

I like the boycott idea that one mentioned. I am with that. I don't have the evidence that Bill O'Reilly would want, do you?

I do believe we should take a stand. Even if the thought someone posted that it's not all deliberate by Yahoo!, but that it's the crazed hate mongers ganging up and forcing the suspensions, the only stand we can make is to the service. I repost the letter I have composed to the staff, and may include or change the consequence to a promise of a boycott if enough get behind it:

You're efforts to silence the tide of opposition to your fascist tactics will not quell the fury that you have brought on yourselves. Letters have been generated to members of the stockholder's board and evidence of your unfair and biased treatment of your customers has been shared with your hierarchy. Cease and desist, or watch the snowball effect take hold!!!

I think this is a great idea. I've never known Suthrnlyts to be rude or post anything that warranted a suspension. When you have long time posters who are being maliciously targeted for simply stating their point of view you have to wonder about YA's system.
I watched trolls take out the old news boards...guess they don't learn from their mistakes.

EDIT: To follow up on a few of the posts:
NEW ACCOUNT: What would be the point in opening a new account? First, if you've posted here for a long time and KEEP the same name then it means you are not a troll. You've worked hard to make friends/contacts and get where you are. You really believe it's fair that you should have to start over again because some troll wanted you gone? Second, what would be the point. If you are targeted by the trolls, they are just going to target you again.
SAYING HATEFUL THINGS: So if I don't like socialism and make it clear I don't like socialism I'm being hateful? That's ridiculous! So in other words everything I say you don't like becomes hateful speech. Isn't the point of YA to be able to voice your opinions? Well obviously, something got lost along the way.
HAPPENS ON BOTH SIDES: That is correct. So when are the posters that are here to debate going to stand up and make the trolling and wrongful reporting stop...ON BOTH SIDES. The ones who are using the report button as the thumbs down are making YA nothing but a trap for trolls.
You can't have open Q/A or open contacts. You have to worry if your "fans" are going to go on a reporting spree while you sleep. This is getting ridiculous!
Solitician? That is BS claim and everyone knows it!
Thanks.

Earnest, you're right. Let's expose Yahoo for what they really are.

The best thing that we can do for all of the missing in action conservatives in this forum is to use our God given voices and freedom of speech.

I've posted several appeals on the appeals board about this.

Yahoo deleted them though.

Another good tip is to not give up and to keep up the good fight.

UPDATE ON MISSING IN ACTION PEOPLE:

Okay, first of all... I'll preface this by saying Suthrnlyts is a friend of mine..however... do you really believe that the media is going to run a story about someone having their profile deleted from a free to use web forum? I think you are chasing windmills here. Suthrnlyts was targeted for suspension. Some left wingers (hopefully no one I know) got together and reported her questions or answers to a point where they broke the violation threshold amount and the account was automatically suspended. I don't like it just the same as you, but to say that it's a left-wing conspiracy on the part of Yahoo is just plain silly. I know several liberals who have been suspended for no reason as well.

Communism is where my beliefs even unfounded or without documentation is the truth vs well the truth. Yahoo is a strange company they want to make money but dictate speech and do not realize by offering a public forum they are to provide a far forum and therefore interfere with the debate or forum with their ideas.

Quite Stalinistic if I my say, never confuse a COMMUNIST with the truth it is just going to confuse them.

Yahoo returned my letter this morning NOT able to deliver. Solicitation? We have numerous more blatant on here. Go to surveys? I found one yesterday top contributer etc... plus one from politics .... we all know the obvious offenders!

edit : I wrote BO but I feel once the dust settles each side shall find some casualties... those Reporting Violations, old & new q's are recorded and treated worse as they add up to harassment. Illegal per guidelines. I am sick of this, personally going back to debate and leave the drama. Look at the thumbs down today and compare to yesterday? Civil War is breaking out. Time to mend fences and exchange political ideas frankly. Let the rest sort itself out. Not tuff but realistic. Sorry. Suth will be back. Just be patient.

edit: Earnest I trusted you with access to my Q&A and u review it ... not sure exactly what you meant to gain by adding that to comments posted Wed to me? I have fought against injustice all my adult life. Also learned when my actions can backfire and cause severe consequences to myself & others. Peace. I hope you are capable of providing change. I wrote and put in my 2 pts worth. Thank you .

Tell the truth no matter where we are, who we are with, that's all we can do.

Yahoo will suppress us at their whim. I don't agree with them but it is their forum.

Despite my appeals, Yahoo shot back at me a response that it was between them and Suthrnlyts as to her account.

While I may not have always agreed with Suthrnlyts, she was one of the few posters on either side that carried herself with intelligence. However, I disagree with your assertion that conservatives get suspended more often then liberals. I have seen a fair number of legitimate posters from both sides of the aisle deleted due to trolls and other morons. The only bias the YAT has is towards those who refuse to conform to the unwritten, arbitrary code which changes depending on the mood of the current yamster in charge.

As a moderate on most positions I have a totally different opinion of what is leftist. There are many in here who are both left and right.

I suppose if you are to the right of the John Birch Society then yes Yahoo is a totally leftist operation.
