They have correctly predicted nearly everything from our wonderful president beeing greedy over oil, to the fact that we will need to start wars in order to maintain our status as a global power.

....well, their lyrics are very powerful and they did "predict" all that stuff.....some say they "dwell in the past".....i personally think they rock.....

Well Tom Morello did go to Harvard...but I would not say "genius" just very outspoken politically, which bands are scared as sh** to do now because of the evil corporate money that feeds record companies and radio stations..i.e. Clear Channel.

They were a great band but I wouldn't call them genius at all. Just because they're the polar opposite of George Bush hardly makes them correct. Their politics are completely flawed as most Communist/Socialist theories are. If RATM had their way, the entire world would be a soulless one class system where everybody would be equal. We'd all be equally starving and equally poor much like Cuba is now. Tell me how "genius" that Hugo Chavez thing is working down in Venezuela. Extremism doesn't work in fast food consumption nor in politics. Oh yeah, and Tom Morello is a conceited Harvard elitist.

They were right about one thing...the 2-party politcal system being bull****. It was very evident when there was a lack of choice for the country executive job here in Buffalo.
My only issue is...they need to make more music now!
