Why are some Americans supporting breaking the law when people can cross into our country legally just by following the rules and why are we allowing illegal to keep crossing and violate the laws our nation has set?

Laws must be followed to the letter so that there will be no chaos. Illegals shall not be tolerated.

No...the law is not always the law.

In New York City it is against the law to wear high heels. It's true. It was put on the books in the 20s and is still enforcable. Why does New York City have this law and why isn't it enforced? It was put there because of subway grates. City officials feared that women wearing high heels could sprain their ankles and sue the city. Thus the city made it illegal to wear high heels. So if a woman does twist her ankle, she cannot sue. Every city/state has these kind of ridiculous laws on the books. They don't plan on ever enforcing them, but they are there.

So what does this have to do with what you asked above. Absolutely nothing. Just like how the question you asked is different from what you asked in the details.

Noone is supporting illegal immigrants coming into the country. The Democrats, including Hillary, all want there to we a way to contain the flood of illegals. The problem is that many don't see a wall as the option. Walls are traditionally viewed negatively (i.e. the Berlin Wall). This nation always was proud that we 'Tore walls down, not build them'.

Where the debate is right now isn't about hemming illegal immigration, it's what to do with those that are here today. Many of these illegals have families that were born in this country (thus legal). By taking a tough stance you would be breaking up families and taking the property of those that have worked hard to make a living in this country. Many say, it's their fault that they came here illegally. But the arguement of the other side is "have some compassion." Imagine if the economy of the nation turned so bad that you couldn't feed your family or properly house them. Wouldn't you do what ever you could to feed and protect your children? Even if that meant sneaking over the border to say Canada?

It's not a black & white issue, regardless of what Rush and Sean say.

Perhaps it's because the president calls them "guest workers" instead of what they are.
