To many seem very guliable to what they see & hear on main stream media! Indications are that for the 08 elections we may see a decline of voters from 04 & 06 elections. Translating to people have given up on the current system & process! I no longer want representative at any level! I want an employee who preforms or gets fired on the spot!

As disturbing as it might be, there has always been voter fraud. There is no such thing as a foolproof system. All you can do is limit the amount of cheating that anyone can get away with. Even Las Vegas Casinos get cheated by people who figure a way to beat the security systems. But they are seldom taken for massive amounts.

The checks and balances can only limit fraud, not eliminate it.
What I find the most remarkable, is that many of the people screaming about the computed voting machines are the same ones who insisted on their use in the first place.

Well first, why do you assume that anywhere near most votes are cast using diebold voting machine ?

The Left tried that argument in Ohio in 2004, except only 3 of the 87 counties in Ohio, used electronic voting machines and Kerry won two of those counties.

Secondly, most electronic voting machines are not connected to any computer network.

It is kind of hard to tap into them, when they aren't connected to anything.

Thirdly, no one has ever been able to show a single electronic voting machine that had been tampered with.

Not even a single machine.

Any electronic voting machines that had thier software changed to favor one candiate over the other, would still have that software change in place, after the election.

It is real easy to hold a mock vote on that machine, to check the accuracy of it's vote totals.

And guess what, not a single electronic voting machine, has ever been found giving screwy results.

The Left likes to say that Bush had something to do with electronic voting machines being used.

But the federal government, has no say on what kind of votng machine that states use.

The whole idea, is just an excuse for why one political party lost an election.

Instead of admitting they had the wrong candiate and trhe wrong messege.

Not only can effect but has effected past elections.

There is now a lawsuit for injunction in all 50 states to prohibit the use of machines and to use paper ballots with counting being watched---google--givemeliberty.org.
