The reputation of the US has declined drastically during the Bush administration. A lot of friendly allied countries now distance themselves from the US. There are worldwide protests on his war obsession. We can only hope our new President in 2009 will reestablish relations with foreign countries.

you mean the reputation was so great with Clinton in power ? when Clinton was in power it was viewed by non americans as a joke. (I am non american)

Bill Clinton was and still is a joke, a pathetic man who could not keep his zipper up. Bush however is a man of convictions who stands by what he does, he has more admirable traits than clinton.

as for the reputation of the US worldwide I would say its the same as it was under Clinton, neither improved or worse. The Anti Americans in Europe would be Anti US who ever is in power.

Just the opposite. The reputation of the US has gone down worldwide. I thought that was obvious by the fact that there are massive protests in every country that George W Bush visits.

I think we've pretty much gone gone from admiration, stability, and general welbeing in Clintons time, to being hated, poverty stricken bullies under Bush. His brilliant veto of health care for kids just about tore it.

well, it depends .... most of the world hated the US already , but now they have seen us destroy Bosnia and Iraq ..... so I do not know if this increases or decreases a threat from China , but I would have to assume it has given us some respect from them and they are really the only ones I am scared of .......

please do not think I am a Bush supporter; I did vote for him the first time because I looked for financial responsibility in Congress and Senate and all they did was screw the working guy ..... now I will never trust the voting system again;I personaly believe the Wolrd Governemnt are put in place by people that even choose our elections; I believe all elections are rigged

First off, the man was not elected.

To be elected one must win the majority of American's votes, and bush did not.

dictator bush was appointed by the nuttiest supreme court ever and still thinks that he is president.

What a glorious day it will be when he and cheney are waltzed out of the White House by White House security never to be seen there again.

No, it has not improved. In general the International public opinion of the U.S. has gone DOWN. I have traveled to Europe and Asia, and have many international friends who live here in the U.S. who voice their disapproving opinions of Bush and his administration.
