Recently I've noticed that most new cars are ugly. It's like they are trying too hard to make them look futuristic.

I have a 2007 Cobalt and I love the way it looks.. But I guess it doesn't look too "futuristic".... I like the look of most of the newer cars, some are too boxy though.
And I agree the Scion is ugly as hell!

No, they are ugly.
All of the subcompacts (the Chevy Aveo, the Toyota Prius, the Honda Fit, the new Honda Civic, the Toyota Echo/Yaris are. Most of the Chrysler line are too (the 300, the Charger, Magnum, Caliber, etc).
And who could forget the Hummer (any one but the H1 which was designed for function) and the Cadillac SUVs stand out as ugly.

Yes! We've come full circle! But, look at the brighter side, their colours are more vivid and vibrant.
