Magic is whatever you want it to be. You see, everything that we do now would be considered witchcraft in another time. I believe that these things are still magic, only we understand how they would. I believe knowledge and understanding are magic.

I recon there is.
Like most "supernatural" things it's difficult/impossible to prove beyond doubt While science is about the how, and when, magic seems to more about the Why.
Recon that the following link explains some of the attitudes towards magic, in ALL it's forms, far better than I can. It's a two edged sword though, as if Magic doesn't actually happen/exist, it provides an explanation why some (all?) people treat it as if it did.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_thinking
The theory of magical thinking says that "magic" doesn't have to involve others/the environment. It could just be an internal (mental) way of figuring out the world. I'd say it's far more than that, any limitations to it's effect/range can be transcend, by magical thinking, but I'd say so regardless because I believe in Magic!
(I'm not happy with my own argument at all, as it relies on itself, but it's the best I can find)

No one can either prove or disprove that there is such a thing as magic. Just like nobody can prove or disprove the existence of God. Some people will tell you that they had positive results from doing ritual magic. A skeptic will tell you that the results were coincidence. I think it comes down to being a matter of belief. You have to decide if you believe in it or not because you can't actually prove it one way or the other.

I am , of course, hoping you are not going to try any form of ritualistic magic or study the forbidden arts! There really is Magic,if you want to call it that, but in reality it is a science whereby you can change situations by following a set rule of rituals.
Always remember that the rules command that if the ritual fails, you must pay the cost of the ritual turning itself onto you. Demonology will mean the loss of life for someone. Gonna risk it! I stud died the black arts when I was much younger and I can only say, take up gardening or chase girls because it is a dangerous game to play and if you lose, you may lose everything - Sav vy?

There are three types of magic in the world.
1. Pull-a-rabbit-out-of-a-hat magic. This is the sort of magic Harry Houdini did and David Copperfield does. This is the illusionary, trickery form of magic.
2. Turn-a-prince-into-a-frog magic. This is the stuff of fairy tales, the sort of thing make-believe evil queens and witches (note the lowercase W) do. This is the storybook, fiction magic.
3. Ritual religious magic. This type of magic is another form of prayer, this is what Wiccans/Witches (capital W here, there is a difference from "witch") and other Pagans do. This magic is as real as Christians saying rosary or Jews saying kiddish.

The mind is the most magical thing there is. Its complexity and sheer possibility is awesome. Also its ability to control the physical universe.
I use Magic Ceremonies and focus my mind while acting out a ritual. I believe that the mind in focus, the body in action and the soul in communion creates a magical force that can be directed. I turn to my emotions to guide me through the appropriate steps, while using the wisdom of the ages and different cultures in the world to lead me.
I've meditated under the stars surrounded by salt and fire, sat in caves by candlelight, and been naked in the moonlight on a snow covered mountain.
Theatrical, sensual and secretive........The Secret, hmm??? Yes that sums it up, The Law Of Attraction, another way of looking at it is Buddism..........I create my own reality.
Does real magic exist? Oh yes, but you need to see it as it is, rather in the way you believe you need to see it.
Its the Co-incedence they talk of in the Celestine Prophecy, the Synchroniscity that Jung talked of, and the emotional calming nature of Prayer.
As Obie Won said once "don't use your eyes, use the force"...........

YES but not as you have been taught to believe.
It comes through, just living, do what you need and want for yourself and life presents the magic.
Your doing what you need and along comes a wonderful present, right in front of you is something that seems just coincidence to anyone else but to you its magic.

As in Hollywood and defying the laws of nature? No. No one has EVER defied the laws of nature.
As in the pagan religions? Yes. But it's nothing like the portrayal in movies and TV. It's about internal change and it's entirely natural.
