I'm interested in buying a herbal supplement that will boost my concentration levels but that won't interfer with my bodily rythms like sleep cycle etc, i'd prefer first hand experience recommendations.

Well people have said Ginkgo but that is great with memory. But for concentration I would recommend DMAE. It does great wonders for your brain.

Here at the store I run, we have something we sell called Focus Attention and it consists of the followin:
Slippery Elm
L-Glutamine
DMAE
Lemon Balm Leaves
Grape Seed Extract
Ginkgo Leaves

We have had several people buy this and use it to help them concentrate more in school and everything. We are a college town so we sell it by the dozens. It is a great natural way to help with your concentration.

Hope this helps.

Hi Tristan, honestly the number 1 thing to improve cognative reasoning is PURE WATER, most people walk through life in a state of dehydration which means that their brain is dehydrated and not able to function as well as it should.

Next most important thing you can do is proper rest because a tired mind can not relax which means you are not taking in information as well as you could or retrieving, already learned information from your information bank (brain).

If you are meething the above needs then Ginko works great for many people or you might try taking a daily supplement that covers all areas of health and stress relief. One such supplement is Limu Plus, great for stress relief and to meet daily health requirements http://www.LimuPlus.287998

Also you might try relaxation techniques just before need total concentration as the brain, to function at it's best should be in a relaxed state and it's amazing what a difference it makes, in fact when my son is doing homework and he's stressed I simply find a way to get him to relax and suddenly the work is easy

Or if you want more than just Ginkgo Biloba, you can also try Acetyl L-Carnitine, Phosphatidylserine, Fish Oil, Vinpocetine, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monnieri (or Monniera), or Alpha-GPC. Those are the most popular products for memory and brain support that help a LOT of different people.

Aside from pills, you can always do mental exercises, too. Playing games (like the children's game "Memory") or using memory tricks (mnemonic devices, etc) can also help to work the pathways in your brain that are responsible for memory.
