I mean, how can we be so sure, and what proof do we have? Can we decide that something will happen again in the future, just because it has always happened in the past?

Well, I don't think the sun is going anywhere, so yes, I think it will rise again tomorrow...

as long as the Earth does not stop Rotating, the Sun will rise tomorrow... that is literally...
but idiomatically, i would say NO... yeah, they say history repeats itself... but not at all times... and i dont believe that if it had happened before, then it is enough reason to say that same thing shall happen again...
things evolve and people change... these are factors that can affect how things will happen or if things shall happen again...

Of course we can, based on consistent evidence and understanding of the rotation and revolution of the Earth. There is always the possibility of deviation, but it's highly improbable. In life ya gotta go with the odds, or hide in a closet.

the law of averages would suggest that the chance of it not rising..... is Infinitesimally small.
