We should. We are fortunate to have lots of things, we should help others.

Ways to lower the national debt:
1. Stop paying $800.00 for a $20.00 hammer you can find at Home Depot.
2. Remove us from the war! Let other people fight for themselves for a change.
3. Minimize the space program – like we really care that there is another planet 41 light years away that may sustain life? Were actually PAYING someone to do this reseach? We benefit HOW from this data?
I PAY MY TAXES! More than I should have to pay. We get taxed on everything – some things even twice (buy a used car: taxes were originally paid when it was new, then you pay them again when you buy it used?)
If our money was managed better, it might go down, but we just keep printing more.

That's what taxes are for. It's the government's fault we're in this mess, so let them clean it up. Not everyone in USA is rich by any means, and I am very tired of people from other countries all thinking we are all fat, rich, stupid pigs. If we did contribute, the (current) government would screw it up again anyway.

Until the Government can run an annual budget surplus, there is no chance. The wars if Iraq and Afghanistan are being financed by debt and until they are over,no surplus is likely.

I definitely think the wealthiest need to be taxed a hell of a lot more to pay for a lot different problems the U.S. is having. Nobody deserves to be able to sit on billions of dollars without being taxed out of the a--.

Once my money leaves my paycheck how can I contribute to the reduction? They spend it on illegals and bombs.
