Could be Braxton Hicks. Could be early labor. Since you are planning to call your doctor, they will probably have you come in to check your cervix and hook you up to do a NST (non stress test). This will monitor the baby's heartbeat as well as contractions you may be having. Very painless, just a couple of belts strapped around your belly. You will lay there for about 20 minutes, and they will determine if you are in labor. Try drinking water as well, dehydration can cause cramping and nausea.

Definitly call your doc, and make sure you stress the constantness of it. If it was preterm labor it would come and go. I think probably your baby tried to turn it head down and either got stuck part way or something. But I am not a physician. They will probably do an ultrasound and you'll get some piece of mind. Be reassured, though, if it is preterm labor, you are far enough along to have a healthy baby. I know I had one at 29 weeks and she is 11 now with no complications at all.

It is contractions. Your body starts having them from around the 5th month. It is nature's way of preparing your body for the big event.
If you are having any bleeding consult your doctor. Try shifting your position, or what you are doing. The pain should only last a short time.
You feel nuaseated because the heartburn is really kicking in now with the gasses bubbling up in your belly.

With my 2nd I had back labor that started much like you're describing. I just felt terrible for several hours, then my back hurt so I tried to take a relaxing bath...that didn't work and eventually it got so bad that I was throwing up from the pain. It never occurred to me that it was labor until it hurt so bad I was literally screaming out (which is so not like me). I never felt the contractions through the back pain that all started with me feeling yucky.

This sounds like preterm labor. Go to the ER ASAP. If you have not dialated too far there are things that they can give you to try to stop the labor. If your baby is born now it cna survive, but it will have to spend several weeks in the NICU.

Good Luck

Period like cramps are pretty normal. Its what your cervix feels like when it's irritated, and later in pregnancy what it feels like as its effacing.

The over all crappiness is normal too. If you dont have a cold coming on- you can have morning sickness that comes and goes any time during pregnancy.

Go ahead and call your doctor, he may want to have you come in to check your cervix and do a non-stress (to check for silent contractions) test just for safety measures :)

I had the same feeling at 20 weeks and my doctor put me on strict pelvic bed rest for 2 weeks. They said it was preterm labor. I'm now 32 weeks and I have them off and on.
See your doctor.

Good idea on calling your doc, but it may just be braxton hicks. They felt a lot stronger for me with my 2nd than with my 1st. Always call just in case, though. They surely know a lot more than all of us do (unless one of us here is a doctor, of course!). I called my doc so much with my 2nd that they got to know me just by my voice. LOL

Get to the Doctor now! You may be having labor pains, the baby may be trying to come too early.
