Okay psychic ability and subconscious thoughts are usually very similiar. However I say this lightly.
First thing... Imagine a bright gold and/or silver around yourself that is protecting you (This is your shield). That way you're protected from "evil" or "dark" spirits or enterties. You could do this before going to sleep, while driving... anytime!
Also remember if you see death or illness etc in your dreams, it doesn't mean someone is going to die or get sick... The death of someone or yourself usually means that one part of their life is finished. (It may be the end of a job etc) But to put your mind at ease, look up a dream book!
Though if you have been sick, then you should see a doctor as these thoughts/dreams could be your mind telling you to take action.
GOOD LUCK... remember the light!

Christin

Your ability to be open to spirit, is via the subconscious mind.

Spirit will talk to you in many ways, often in symbols, pictures etc that your own subconscious mind can decipher - your own language - if you like.

You are spirit, so don't be afraid of what in essence is the same as yourself.

Learn as much as you can about your subtle energy system, aura etc, learn how spirit works - gain knowledge, before experience & relax. Developing is often a frustrating journey, so be patient.

Remember fear is an emotion, nothing more. Knowledge will control it.

Before you waste your time trying to develop any psychic powers, consider this:

James Randi, a professional magician, has debunked psychics, mystics, and fortune tellers for years. He has a standing offer to pay one million dollars to anyone who can demonstrate psychic or paranormal powers in a laboratory setting. So far, nobody has claimed a nickel of this money. Some try - most won't even risk the humiliation of trying.

If you think that someone can actually develop these abilities, don't you think that they would try to claim this prize? Randi is very open about it's existence. He's been on television debunking astrology, esp, and other paranormal phenomena.

If you find someone who claims to have these powers, or that they can teach them to you, ask them if they are willing to take Randi's challenge. Take this URL to them, and ask them to look at it. If they waffle, chances are they know how non-existent their powers are. If they get angry about it, that's probably because they know YOU know how non-existent these powers are. If they get REALLY angry, it's probably because you asked in front of a bunch of potentially paying customers.

Sounds like fun, doesn't it?

Youre okay, you are just scaring yourself that's all. Its not as freaky as you think. Best thing is to contact somebody like this http://www.thepsychicbarber.co.uk/PBFrameset.html
and go to a workshop. There you will find out if you think the thing is worth taking any further. Or you could contact this guy and ask if he knows of something more suitable for you.

Beware of charlatans though. One of the common signs is charging a lot of money for their services.
