I would say X-Men. Some of the things done on Heroes seem to remind me of lots of incidents that already happened in X-Men.

Take for example. Now the next few episodes would be about the future and the Virus which kills the Heroes and then the human population. This was already covered in X-Men and The Legacy Virus.

Back in Season 1 there was a bleak future. That was done a long time ago in X-Men called Days of Future Past.

So as much as I like watching Heroes, I can't help but say that some of it's ideas are not very original.

as much as i like Heroes, i'm not necessarily liking this virus they've brought into the story. it reminds me too much of the Legacy Virus in the X-Men books. Heroes may be a refreshing take on peoples with powers, but it can't help but repeat some what X-Men has done in the last four decades.

Heroes started out really strong but now it's just running around in circles. Suddenly, Sylar, Peter, and Nathan are all alive again and we are once again back to "Save the cheerleader, save the *#@!$& world."
As much as I love Hiro Nakamura...
I hate American comics, but I'd say the X-Men movies. Especially for how much I adore Nightcrawler and Storm.
