a little bit of both....If the question seems sincere I try to put a lot of effort into providing my valid opinion or facts, if Im just looking to score some points or waste my already boring day at work Ill just put whatever comes to mind. However, there are some actually good questions here that deserve good valid answers like yours! :)

I answer truthfully, but I choose the questions I answer by whether I have an opinion as to the subject or not, and whether I have a site in mind which may help the person, for example Starfall.com for those who want to teach preschool children to read, as a man thinketh for self worth, and NCADV for domestic violence to name just three, and I often do a fast search on a subject to see if I can find something online to recommend before I decide to answer a question or not. The point system is interesting but I would rather have an e-mail thanking me for my point of view, as I recently did, than the points.

I always answer truthfully. In my opinion I really don't think they should have a point system. It would weed out the idiots who give stupid answers just for points. I answer questions because I like to give people helpful advice to the absolute best of my knowledge and/or from similar experiences I've had in my life, not to be the number one answerer of all time.

Truthfully that is why only 4% of my answers have been chosen as the best answer.

OK, honestly. I answer from my heart or my link to the web, and I keep track (kind of) of questions I've answered. Some folks grant me B/A, and sometimes I just vote for my answer when a neglected question has gone to voting. But many times I vote for someone else's obviously better answer...one that clearly comes from personal experience or greater knowledge or is just better researched. I'm ethical like that. Good question.

Most of the time truthfully. Other times I'm in a silly mood and I answer silly.
