I live in a single house, but we are currently building a double story house in the Adelaide Hills.

When I lived in NY, I had a 2 story house with a finished basement. there were 4 large bedrooms, 2 full baths, 20x20 foot patio, etc. After I retired, my wife and I both got sick, so we sold, and moved to Houston. Here we got a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, covered patio, house. There are no basements in Houston. Now I live here alone.

Technically it is a two story house but we have a "Rec" room in the basement with a walk out basement so does that make it a three story house?
