No - but I do it if I am absolutely positive that incorrect information has been given e.g. gobbledygook gleaned from a babelfish translation, or if the answerer has simply insulted the question poser (as happens occasionally) - just to try and take the sting out!

i only give them when someone's answer adds nothing to the question at hand if its an inappropriate remark. i just report it instead a thumbs down.

some answers can be insulting and bad and deserve to have a thumbs down however it's not satisfying to thumbs down others...in general..
