Oww, that's a cynical thought!
I don't do it to show off, but sometimes I do it to make my contacts aware of the question, but most of the time, it's because I hope it gets me best answer :-)))

No not to show of , sometimes I star without answering if the question is really interesting but I have no answer.

I think I have only starred three questions, like ever. I star because I like the questions, and I seriously doubt any of my contacts give a hoot.

lol, no, I've never starred a question to show my answer to my contacts, I star the questions that deserves to be starred or the hard questions that one of my contacts know the answer of, I like to help people after all, if I don't know the answewr at least my contact will answer it if he/she's online, and I star every question that my contacts asked which I answered to....

I only star questions because I think they are good. It never occurred to me to do it to 'show off' and I don't think I would anyway, now that you have pointed out the possibility to me.
I really ought to star more questions than I do.

gee, your so right!
i hardly star my answers cos i dont want to advertise to all my contacts the crazy or dirty answers i give
but if i give a good one i will star to show it off, lol,,, but not often, only if i know the question will interest them, and usually i see that theyv starred it so i know they did answer it!, xxxxx

About 20% they are good and the other 75% for my contact, the other 5% - I have no idea why - just a good idea at the time.
Cheers

I do it, because I find the question interesting.
Sometimes, also because although I have nothing to say about the issue in question (and the question may just be intriguing), I would like to read the replies, and so by staring it, this will easily allow me to encounter this question in the near future...

Well, since I don't have any contacts ....
...........................
I just think it's nice to encourage people who have come up with an interesting or entertaining question.
And some (only *some* mind you) come off cute when they cheekily encourage stars.
