Love ALWAYS defies logic !
So, when the question comes from the logical aspect of mind, the answer is always "NO" !
An answer could mean a lot, without making any sense at all, to an emotionally oriented person! Such a person simply "transcends" the level where the need to have or know a reason/cause/purpose/necessity simply becomes redundant or drops. For such a person, Love is just a quality of the very being. Like some forest flower, which blooms, permeates the fragrance, without any purpose, leaving the appreciation to purely a consequential 'chance' happening !
OKAY, we humans are capable of 'twisting' anything to make it sound 'logical'! So, to just keep the 'logicals' really busy, (keep going in circles-- ha ha ha!), we can give an answer, that they cannot choose to ignore(deep within): The necessity , purpose, reason, cause of love is for ultimate self-realisation !

I think there is no cause/reason/purpose for love, it just is, but it's hard to express purely, mostly because 'we' - our personalities - get in the way of such expression.

What I can see is the affect that when one doesn't receive enough of it or when love is expressed in a shallow way when one is an infant, it affects the development of the emotional body - in a way retarding it.

I think that the reality of humanity is, and has been, very devoid in it's ability to give enough love to developing infants and thus nearly every human today suffers a retardation in the emotional body which lies underneath as the feeling base in all personalites. We pick up information from the outside through our feelings and then all our thoughts fit into the mold of what we felt. What we feel in situations has so much to do with the emotional imprint we developed as we came into this mostly dark and uncaring world.

This is still curious to me how a lack of love can retard the development of the emotional body, yet the intellectual body isn't affected this way, instead it gets very strong and seems to overcome it somehow. Perhaps by stating this just now, I get closer to why it is like that. So then I observe, not only in myself, but in others, a rationality or normality, yet when strongly provoked or when the stress levels get too high then people behave like children.

there isn't any cause/ reason/ purpose/ necessity of love.

some think it is a god thing some think it is a mating thing

I love for there I feel not for cause/ reason/ purpose/ necessity just to enjoy my own happiness For I love me then I may if I want to Love some one else and then again and so on and never for cause/ reason/ purpose/ necessity only to feel.

The cause of love is God, the reason for love is to live, the purpose of love is to give to all, the necessity of love is for eternal peace.

Love is a counterweight to hatred and evil. The universe seems to have had a way of balancing itself out. We think in terms of binaries and dichotomies ourselves. The only question is whether there is a middle ground between love and hate and between good and evil. Can we love someone with little hatred in our hearts? Or do you call such love forgiveness? And can we hate someone with a little love in our hearts? Is that conscience? Our existence is complex. Take away love and the world is unimaginable.

Om Tat Sat...Love is Its own cause, reason, and purpose. Love just is... It is that which creates, animates, motivates, and moves ceaselessy through Its creation, ineffable and effulgent, beyond description. Though we "think" we know what love is at the mundane level (haven't we all tasted it...received, given, and withheld it?), we "exist" on this plane because of LOVE in the Absolute field, and we will exist (in LOVE) for eternity. It is an abstract beyond human understanding. I cringe to even consider speaking of it, for my speaking diminishes it, setting my own "boundaried" limitations on that which is boundless. I am Sirius

because male have testosterone &female have oestrogen both of the hormone have the tendency of attrating to each other tendency of hiding it's capacity has oestrogen so female can hide thier intrest but the power of sex have female more than male.it is the rule of nature that if any body has less amount that will show that i have more that's why male shows thier exitement. if we talk about love it is necessory because every body want it's best friend or a person with whom he or she can share it's thought so the production of love takes place, it normally happans with opposit sex because sex is also need of every body,It always emerges deu to attraction but some time only for sex

Because without love we probably wouldn't willingly have
children we will have to care for for 20 years, and the odds of
those children surviving would be pretty dismal if we never loved our children.
