I know he will refuse. Is it better just to leave it alone. I dont have the money to get a lawyer and fight him to get it. So what is the best course of action?

Depends on the jurisdiction you (or he) live in, and you can ask the court clerk for clarification, but if he isn't cooperative, getting local law enforcement (and it's typically the county sheriff's office in property situations) to back you up when you go to take possession should be enough.

If you suspect you didn't get all the keys, take it to a shop and have the doors (and maybe the ignition) re-cored. A dealership of the same brand should be able to do this.

Contact local law enforcement and ask for their assistance. They will usually schedule a time to take you to get your property. Make sure your have your court papers and proper id. Also bring someone to drive the car back.
Good Luck.

Take the order to the local law branch "Sheriff or Police" show them the order, and ask them to escort you to retrieve your property. If the car is in another town or state take it to the police in that city.
