My best friends boyfriend and I believe that Sponge Bob Square Pants is making the children of today dumber!! First off, Sponge Bob has a squirrel friend that lives under water with nothing but a fish bowl over it's head. Secondly, Sponge Bob and his buddies light fires on a regular basis UNDER WATER!!! Sponge Bob is part of an evil organisation plotting to make the kids of today dumber so that one day they can take over the world!!!!! Agree or not??

Lol, it's not just kids,I know teens and young adults (as in over 18) who watch it.... It is pretty stupid, the squirrel should be dead, the sponge should be bloated, the fires, well...and as for plankton?!? Lets just hope kids don't start trying to imitate Sponge Bob or his friends (especially the squirrel)

I agree. I went camping in the lake and I couldn't light the camp fire no matter how much I tried.
And to make it real bad the fish bowl wouldn't fit properly on my head. (Maybe its because I'm not a squirrel)

every person that goes on there is asking the kids for help. so in sumation

By your logic, any cartoon that contains activity that is implausible in REAL life situations, somehow makes kids of today dumber?

As far as I know, eating spinach doesn't make you stronger yet the adults who used to watch "Popeye" back in the day aren't any dumber (or smarter for that matter) then us...

It merely enhances the stupidity that already exists..=)

Blaming the school system or teachers is a lame excuse for a child unwilling or unable to learn what they are expected to learn in school..=)

I disagree. I strongly believe that the Public School System is to blame for that and wrong parenting skills !!!

no, i think spongebob helps children make decisions by themselves, and also helps them work through the good and bad ones. my sons were regular fire starters and burned down their hut in china before being put up for adoption. i took those poor children, and after watching spongebob, i think they really turned around! now, they are experimenting with making spacesuit for our dogs, and dont have to worry about the lack of volunteers, since we have so many strays in the area. no one is gonna miss those dogs.

my kids are sooooo smart!
