A few close ones. Usually one at a time. A lot of people like me, but I have trouble opening up to them.

definately "just a few close ones". because i'm a private person at some point and having too many friends means no privacy and real friends, someone you can count on. and with those few close ones, you get to enjoy each other's company and know intimately about each other.

with a group of friends, you can't really trust anyone to tell your bad habits or secrets too because you may never know when they might jump off the ship to another. there's no sense of security in big groups of friends.

these people may laugh with you, it appears. for all you know, they're laughing AT you for not knowing your boyfriend is sleeping around with them, for an example.

The more, the merrier! More friends mean more fun. Friends with different kinds of styles.

Just a few close ones, and ones that I can trust and they can trust me. Quality rather than quantity, although many good friends is not bad.
