The only sliced bread I really like is plain white bread, so in Tesco it's about a pound. In our local shop (I live in a village) it's about 1.20.

I remember (and I'm not that old) when it cost less than half of that for a 'quality' loaf, and about 35p for a supermarket own brand.

In sainsburys it's £1 for a Warburtions super thick cut loaf. Great for toast :o)

If I have $ and I get the good kind it's about two dollars or so. If I'm low on cash and feelin' cheap it's about 87 cents.

Depends on the bread of course, normally I pay around 20SEK (Sweden), which translates to around €2,20 or $3.10...and it's not even very good bread:S
