Einstein's genuis however great it is, doesn't help a man see beyond his death. It doesn't at all address the fact that we are going to die one day and all the great name & fame or scientific credits we may earn is of no use after death.

Ok, for Christians: who do you think is a bigger genius: Einstein or Jesus?

First of all, Buddhism is a philosophy, not a religion. The Buddha (Siddhartha Gautama) was a man. He had no supernatural powers. He couldn’t perform miracles, or raise people from the dead. He was not a god. In fact, he explicitly rebuked those who sought to treat him as one.

The Buddha used his own powers of observation, intellect and reasoning, grounded in reality, to guide him to his enlightenment, and he spent his life explaining to others what he had learned. While he was doing this, he was also advising his followers NOT to accept what he was teaching or telling them at face value or to take his beliefs “on faith.” Rather, he counseled them to test his theories for themselves, and if they didn’t prove true, then reject them.

That is exactly what Albert Einstein did. He said, basically, “Here’s what I have come up with. Test it for yourselves and see if it is wrong.” No “religious” leader or founder – not even Jesus himself – has ever invited his disciples to be that skeptical of the beliefs and truths he was teaching them. For the Buddha and scientists, such skepticism is an essential ingredient in arriving at the truth.

In this respect, the Buddha and Albert Einstein are very much alike. Both relied on the power of the human intellect – not voodoo, flashy miracles or faith – to shed light on the mysteries of the universe and what it means to be human. Both are geniuses, and the rest of us would do well to study them.

i am afraid that Einstein is not enough genius than Buddha because there is a statement that Einstein said everything is unstable and every things are always changing but when i read that statement instead of promoting Einstein i don't even shaken , you know why ? Because i already knew that statement . How do I know that ? You all may say that whoelse can say that kind of statement before Einstein stated that. You may be right . How come a normal person can think that except Einstein ? But there is our Buddha who is the most genius of all and already declared that statement for a very long year ago.
Most of Buddhism may know that .That 's why i think Buddha is the most genius. And as a buddhism , we assume that Buddha has an ability to know everything . How can you compare our Buddha with Einstein .
And if we think Einstein is more genius than Buddha, why we all are praying for God in international terms to bless you or others except for the one who don't believe in everything ?

Einstein And Buddha

Well, they are both geniuses in their related fields - Einstein in the Scientific realm & Buddha in the Spiritual realm.

But I think that Jesus and Buddha are bigger 'geniuses', because their example shows us how best to live life. If we study Jesus or Buddha, we can know how best to behave in any circumstance in our life.

I think we all have the potential to become a genius in our own way.

Perhaps a Scientific Genius can discover the way in which we can all access our genius if we want to. Wouldn't it be great if genius wasn't just limited to a handful of people, and that we could all be capable of achieving our full potential?

All right then ...Buddha was a philosopher, Einstien was a scientist. Two different trains of thought here. This man Buddha was trying to explain how to live correctly in our lives so that we can attain a higher state of existence.
Einstein was trying to explain what happened, and what is happening by mathematics, physics, and matters of those properties. He wasn't trying to explain how to live but how things work.
Philosophy and science, they are not the same.
Jesus is not a genius per se. He is God personified. That is the creator. That goes well beyond genius and into the realms we mortals cannot fathom. He knows exactly how the big bang came about and how it expands and what is in the void between the galaxies and what matter is exactly. He is the creator. He is God personified for you and I. His interest went far beyond the philosophies of man, and far beyond the science of matter, His knowledge of science is so vast that He can change the matter of water, to wine or to walk upon. His interest goes to the very soul of every human being on earth. Past, present and future. He is more interested in your love, than the explanation of mere matter.
Jesus of Nazareth told us He is the one who will bring salvation to this world. He is not a religion but a way of life. He is not a philosophy but a way of life. He is not a scientist but a way of life. He is our salvation after death. It is here and now whether we decide to accept that or not.
Three different beings and three different aspects to each one. So I would say on the human scale that it would be Einstein who is the genius, but the Christ is far, far greater than that and should be worshiped. The genius can be studied but not deified.
The Christ should be studied and worshipped as He is God personified.

I agree with you.... in the context of humanity as distinct from the merely physical world, Einstein was a dwarf opposite Buddha based on what he achieved and delivered to us. I am no Buddhist, yet I do realize what Buddha's teachings mean to billions of the followers of Buddhism. Peace of mind to me is far far more important than all the knowledge in the world, since that is the ultimate goal of our being.

Genius is not the term I would use for Buddha or Jesus.
EInstein was a genius. He never made claims to be a savior or a prophet or to be the son of god. He was a scientist.
The other two- well, all their lives their missions was to teach.

Neither one was a "genius", Einstein was a a giant within the field of Math/Science, but outside of that he was puny. Buddha missed the entire meaning of life. To excel in one area and be incapable of functioning in life doesn't make one a genius. Genius is a misconstrued word, genius isn't just intellect it is the whole person, someone who functions well in all areas with equal ease.

you are a Christian and you don't believe in Buddha? lol, Buddha was not a god or something you know, he was just some guy that was enlightened, to say that you don't believe in him is the same as saying, you don't believe in johnny cash (example).

Anyway, they were both very good, Einstein is more scientific and Buddha is more spiritual, you can't compare them like that, they are in different categories.
