If you have a lighter,and it looks like a Zippo works like a Zippo but says Japan on the bottom is it still.?

If not what would you call it beside a lighter.If you have a bic and the other lighter and someone said which one do you want ?What would you call it besides a zappo.?

only zippo lighters say zippo.

there are so many manufacturers that made lighters, copying the zippo...........cheaper ones made in japan.

its like a designer pocketbook & a knockoff. if it works, and suits your needs. great............
if you have to be one of those people that can ONLY have designer stuff.........then keep looking for a zippo.

No. Zippo is a Brand name, much like Kleenex to tissue paper. The Brand name has become slang for items that resemble the true product.

Uhmm. I am tempted to say-- "does it matter?"

First of all ,I believe that not many people read brands, and it doesnt matter if it is a 4 for a dollar lighter or a 5 dollar lighter. It simply has to be there when you need one, and it better work.
