They might be Braxton-Hicks contractions, practice contractions the womb does before you're due, but i think you should see a doctor.

you shouldn't be in that much pain. pain except in labour is not normal in labour and you really need to get it checked out asap. if the pain is regular every few minutes you could be in prem labour, this needs to be checked out now. or it could be braxton hicks , this can get very painful especially if this is not your 1st pregnancy. braxton hicks can be mistaken for false labour as they can be very painful. i had them from 27 weeks with my last baby and were really bad, just like period pains, the way i knew they were not real was that they were not particularly regular and went off. if your pain eases with rest or try a hot bath. if this does not help or they become closer together you may well be in early labour. you need to phone your labour ward for advice now and they may want to check you over. at 33 weeks your baby is still immature and they may be able to delay labour if you are in early stages so go now. good luck

You should have the number of your maternity unit on you notes. If you call them they should be happy to have you in for a check up as soon as you can get to them.
I have just had a baby and was in for a few check ups during pregnancy because I was worried. The peace of mind made it worth while.

Hi,
i would phone up the midwife or your maternity hospital asap.
It could be just braxton hicks, but it is best to find out asap.
If it gets worse just phone the ambulance, i do not want to worry you but you need to get checked out straight away.

labour pains start out like period pain so please, go and see a doctor or go straight to the hospital. They won't make a 33wk pregnant woman with period/labour pains wait long trust me!
Go now, seriously!
