DANCING QUEEN..... Hopefully, you check back on your answers!
"Piece Of My Heart" was originally sung by Janis Joplin! I have been a fan of hers for more years than I care to mention (in life and also since her death) Matter of fact... this is one song to which "I" have the lyrics memorized! Telling you this is not my main purpose for writing this, however. The following is information you may find interesting: This song, besides being sung by Erma Franklin, was also covered by Melissa Ethridge ( most beautifully, I might add). In the version sung by this artist, the first line is "Didn't I make you feel like you were the only ONE", as you can see by checking out the links I've included. So, although your rendition was not as originally written, you were not entirely wrong, either. Sadly, your real mistake was in singing the wrong "cover". Thought you'd like to know! Good luck in future competitions. I love your choice of songs....

Several Dozen. Mostly love songs. "Wicked Game." "Just let me be in love," and "Like the Rain" are three of the ones I can do without looking at the karoke screen. Most of the other, I have to watch the screen for the cues.

I know so many lyrics it frightens me - i can find a song for any subject. I was a contestant on "sing it Back" in the UK in the summer (UK equivalent of singing bee in US). I did really well, and won in the rehearsal, but got a single word wrong and so got knocked out when I was in the last three. The song was Erma Franklin's "Piece of my heart" I know the words, but sang "didn't i make you feel like you were the only one" " when it should have been " the only man" d'oh!

i do no longer memorize lyrics intentionally. If I hear to some thing plenty, then I in simple terms manage to submit to in suggestions the words without desirous to :) that's variety of the comparable for the beat. I submit to in suggestions the two without somewhat desirous to. *Stars* :)

Too many to count. But as a general rule, if it was a hip hop or R&B song in the 90s - now, and it was even just mildly successful, I probably memorized it. You listen to a song so much, you just can't help but to remember....

"Pretty Woman" by Roy Orbison. You can't really understand the lyrics of most of today's music unless you saw them in writing. Thank goodness for lyric searches!
