I got "stuck" in my car once... parked, turned the car off and then realized I'd left a window down so I turned it back to on position so I could roll up the window... then I couldn't get the key out of the ignition! I went to open the door and the dang alarm went off... so I shut it and the doors all locked and then I couldn't get them unlocked, it just quit working. My windows were all up and I got all freaked out, until I called my hubby on my cell... his first question: "Is the car in park?"
DOH!!
Weather: kinda foggy, with a little bit of ditzyness sprinkling down...

Yes. It happened in 1967. I was returning from Badrinath to Joshimath by a bus. These places are in north India in Himalaya mountains. En route, there was torrential rain and the road was blocked by a landslide. The bus was halted and there was no chance of clearing the landslide for next 24 hours. As there were dangers of more landslides on the mountain road, the group of passengers decided to walk up to next village called Hanuman Chatti, which was 16 kilometers further. I too walked with them with my luggage.
