Its impossible to lose 30 pounds in a month, so i disagree with the 30 in a week post. if anorexics only lost about 9 a week. the healthy way to lose weight is 2 or 3 pounds a week, its also best since you lose weight slowly. if you do it fast, you'll end up gaining back again.
face it, the only way to naturally lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat. i think to lost one pound you have to burn like 15,000. if you exercise a lot on a daily basis, eat more calories, but make sure you adjust slowly so that when you lesson your exercises you don't gain all the weight back. i see football players by the time their 40, they gain a lot and i mean A lot of weight. not the good kind, the fat kind.
eat a good meal in the morning (maybe pancakes or scrambled eggs), and don't eat anywhere at or in 4 hours before you sleep.
shop when your not hungry and with a list you can stick to. make sure everything you eat is grilled, steamed, or baked. have no trans fats, and little complex carbohydrates. they are what cause fat, thats why you need simple carbohydrates since they break down easier. only exercise when your not hungry and eat simple carbohydrates 4 hours before and eat some complex carbohydrates after. don't eat any burger over a quarter pound if you have to have one. stay away from cheeses for pasta and pizza isn't good to eat.

I know how you feel. I have always been very slim, and thought I would lose my baby weight easily, but 6 months later I am struggling still.
Having a young baby is hard work, but you've just got to conjure up some energy to do some more exercise. I've joined a gym and a few nights a week (once my baby is in bed and husband is home) I drag myself out in the cold and the dark and do weights and cardio, and it's working.
If you can't do that - there are some good DVDs out there - try Davina McCall.
Your energy levels will improve once you start doing more exercise.

it took me 18mths with both of mine to lose the weight. First one lost 30 kg's, second one took the same amount of time to lose only 18kg's.
I found that eating small really healthy meals and just the general running around with the kids helped me lose weight with the first. drink loads of water. Do a medium paced walk 3-4 times a week for half an hour is enough or join a gym. I found once I started going to the gym after the second, it actually made me get more energy and my bubs had fun in the creche.

I used to be a pilates instructor before I trained as a midwife, and we had a lot of new mothers come into the studio to get rid of their excess baby weight. I would really recommend this form of exercise; not only will it help you get your pelvic floor muscles back under control after the birth, but you can ask your instructor for exercises to help you target your trouble areas. If there aren't any classes near you, there are plenty of videos and books about it- try looking on Amazon.
Good luck, and congratulations!

I wouldnt worry too much about exercise! If your running round looking after a six month old and a house, your doing enough!
Take a look at your calorie intake. Unless your breast feeding, its safe now to cut back and go to around 1000-1200 per day to stedily loose the weight.
You cannot target certain parts of the body for weight loss, this has been proven, you can target certain muscles for build up, but not fat cells. Your best just sticking to a healthy diet.
I ate the following on a basic day whilst trying to loose the weight.
Breakfast - 1 freshly squeezed grapefruit and a bowl of special K cerial with semi-skimmed milk
Snack around 11am - Banana and Yoghurt
Dinner 1pm Grilled chicken on a bed of lettuce, toms and cucumber
Snack around 3pm - Celery Sticks
Evening Meal 6pm - Pesto Pasta with chargrilled Salmon
NOTHING AFTER 7PM!!!!!!

I gained 60 with my pregnancy .. lost the first 30 within a week, and cut back on calories (ate 1000 a day) and lost the other 30 within 2 months of that.
Just count calories -- you can't go wrong!
(my son is 4 months old)

eat right and keep going on your walks........i couldnt fit into my size 3's until now and it's been 9 months......i also recommend doing crunches to help with your tummy....as for your face, well i dont have any suggestions for that, sorry....just continue to keep walking....and when i say "eat right" i mean stay away from sodas, fried foods, high colesterol, saturated fats, etc....carbs are okay, just eat it in moderation....or if u like carbs, then go on an all carb diet...what really worked for a friend of mine is a protein diet...she lost lots of weight doing this...
just my opinion though....good luck!
