Old school again. When I was coming up we had the police, presidents, movie stars, doctors. With our government and judicial system seemingly becoming more corrupt and movie stars getting caught up in all kinds of controversy, singers.............well you kind of get the idea. And, used to when we went to a doctor we didn't worry about 2nd opinions and such we just did what the doc ordered. Now we even have to watch that like a hawk while trying to just get 5-10 minutes even SEEING the doc. It's all about money and volume now. So, who do our kids look up to?

Well, Natasha, I didn't really look up to my parents until later in life. Early in life, like before school and early school they were my life. But then they were just a hinderance in me being able to do what I wanted. Like staying up past bedtime or going to the theatre.
In my experience with my 3 boys up until about 3rd or 4th grade they thought I had the answer to everything. Then for some reason I guess I was just brain dead because everyone else knew more than I could ever hope to know. That really kicked in at about 12-13. Now that they are all married and have kids of their own, guess what? I know have recovered my brain cells. lol Funny how that happens. Of course, I was a single mom so maybe it was a "dumb girl" thing?
