Gods came into existence quite non-miraculously as the products of human imagination. Primitive humans ascribed the unexplainable to spirits, and it was these ideas of spirits that later evolved into what we call gods.

Does it make any other sense that most religions are scarcely 1% as old as the human race?

Well, at least you used the word miracle to envision the possible presence of an imaginary being.

I assume many things, but frequently they are not true. (Do you possibly mean believe?) Unless you are an adept at self hypnosis, or already in a padded room, I don't think that any mental exercise can make real a myth.

The fact that you ask this question, in this way, seems to indicate that you realize that no god is real and that any god can only be created by the imagination and needs of a person.

"Contemplate" or "meditate" will bring soul-coherency, God-harmony, which resonates with divine Love, God.

"Watch Your Dreams," Ann Ree Colton (artist and composer), "Climb the Highest Mountain," Mark Prophet, good for insight,
"Creation: Artistic and Spiritual," O. M. Aivanhov, and "The Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?", Free and Wilcock, are helpful along these lines. "The Field," Lynne McTaggart, and "Psychoenergetic Science," Tiller, Ph.D., http://www.tiller.org provide very good insight into why assuming if fantasy-minded is erroneous, and why assuming matter is all that is lacks soulfield insight and sensitivity.

This is a question where as first we have to divide one thing from other...

...as first God is not a thing, it is a multidimensional presence that we can't perceive because of our limited possibilities as human beings... because is impossible to get it rationally, the only possible way to understand/perceive is emotionally, then, as we talk about that if we have to use imagination, the reality is in this matter very personal - is not the question if it exsist or not, the question is if God for you exist or not exist... if you feel the love of God it exist, if not, then not.

If I could convince myself and everyone in the room that I floated 6 inches above the ground, is it all a hallucination, or is it a new indisputable reality when everyone in the room whole-heartedly believes it?

If you believe it enough, it will only manifest in your mind, body and soul.

You will not be able to feel, sense, touch that manifestation, nor share it with non-believers.
Believing or assuming does not create a physical entity.

If only...

God existence is always there, but if we assume(believe) there will be no doubt of that.
